England Convenor and Campaigns Roles Vacant

There are two opportunities to join the Liberal Youth Executive Committee, both the Campaigns Officer and England Covnenor roles have become vacant.

The Campaigns Officer is responsible for overseeing the campaigning activities of the organisation, particularly our Fresher’s campaigns, recruitment of members and outreach to members of the public.

Following various concerns surrounding the recent election process for the co-option for England Convener, Dan Purchese (Returning Officer) has investigated the matter thoroughly and decided to re-open the nominations.

There was concern that some members did not know about the election and that members of the Regional Council did not receive their ballots. Whilst there is no evidence of any technical problems with the mailing system, we are all aware that email can be temperamental. Also, given that a single vote could have altered the outcome of the election, Dan has decided to issue a ruling that the election be re-run including re-opening of nominations.

Therefore nominations to the position of England Convener are herewith re-opened from today (candidates who had submitted nominations for the previous ballot are not required to resubmit them).
